Agbara Nla: The Return Opens Huge – ₦170m Weekend, Heads to Liberia
Agbara Nla: The Return, the theatrical reworking of the classic 1993 Mount Zion faith film, has opened to approximately ₦170 million, marking the biggest October opening weekend and the biggest non-December opening for a Nollywood title.
Directed by Damilola Mike-Bamiloye and Joshua Bamiloye, with Mike Bamiloye starring, the film is drawing strong attendance. It is also heading to Liberia.
Meanwhile, Dear Ajayi by Damilola Orimogunje has been selected as Nigeria’s official submission for Best International Feature at the 99th Academy Awards. Other October releases include Black Market and First Lady.
