Nigeria’s headline inflation rate eased further to 14.63 per cent in September 2026, down from 15.39 per cent in August, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

Food inflation stood at 19.59 per cent year-on-year. The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) also released September allocations, with the Federal Government, states and local governments sharing ₦2.428 trillion.

The figures reflect ongoing macro stability efforts under the current administration, even as cost-of-living pressures remain a major political talking point ahead of 2027.
