The APC Presidential Campaign Council has challenged Peter Obi to produce proof that he won the 2023 presidential election. The response followed a BBC interview in which Obi said: "I won the last election. There's no evidence, but I won the election."
Dele Alake, spokesman for the campaign council, called the statement a "troubling display of delusion." The council says Tinubu's victory was certified by INEC and upheld by the Presidential Election Petition Court and the Supreme Court.
It also asked Obi to honour an earlier pledge to step aside from the 2027 race if liabilities were proven against his Anambra State administration.
On the opposition side, Rufai Oseni reacted to Obi's claim on Arise TV, according to Legit.ng. Obi is the NDC's candidate, and the NDC plans to inaugurate its presidential campaign council on 20 October.
