The All Progressives Congress has released a revised list of members of its Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election, bringing in several high-profile figures who are not members of the ruling party.

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike (PDP) has been named coordinator for Rivers State and the Federal Capital Territory. Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke (Accord) will coordinate Osun, while Anambra Governor Chukwuma Soludo (APGA) will handle Anambra. Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is listed as Director of Finance.

President Bola Tinubu heads the council, with Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda among the vice-chairmen. Senator Abdulaziz Yari remains Director-General. The expanded council is expected to be inaugurated by the President at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday, 14 October.

The move has drawn attention because it formalises the involvement of opposition-party governors and ministers in the APC’s re-election structure. Analysts say it reflects the ruling party’s strategy of building a broad coalition ahead of the polls.
