"You borrowed the recipe for feeding a nation and returned with a tasting spoon," the ADC candidate says.

At the inauguration of the ADC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja, Atiku Abubakar took direct aim at President Tinubu's new petrol relief package, calling the 30-day discount an inadequate answer to economic hardship. "Thirty days cannot erase three and a half years of hardship," he said.
Atiku claimed Tinubu had adopted the principle behind his own proposed production subsidy after earlier dismissing it, but without its key safeguards. His version would support petroleum products refined in Nigeria, with capped, budgeted, independently audited support that excludes imports.
He then called for the President to go: "After this latest admission of failure, the honourable thing to do is step down." On 2027, he warned: "Another four years of Bola Tinubu means another four years of hunger, hardship and national decline."
Election reform demands: public access to polling-unit results, live broadcasts of collation centres, and independent audits of election technology.
Atiku also accused APC-controlled governments of restricting opposition campaigns, citing Benue State, and declared: "There will be no 'no-go areas' in Nigeria."
