A political support coalition known as the Renewed Hope Ambassadors has committed to securing massive support for President Bola Tinubu across Akwa Ibom State during the 2027 general elections. The association revealed its plan during a strategic gathering held with ward and local government leaders in Uyo, Punch reported.
The state coordinator of the group, Prince Ikim, lauded President Tinubu for undertaking critical economic reforms. According to him, the nation's economy was saved from total breakdown through the removal of petrol subsidy and efforts to stabilise the naira, which he claimed increased revenue allocations to state and council administrations.
Other prominent figures at the event, including former state legislative speaker Aniekan Uko and Charles Mbong, endorsed the mission. Mbong urged loyalists to obtain their permanent voter cards ahead of the polls to ensure re-election victories for Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Umo Eno, and other party candidates.
