Kingsley Coman has drawn criticism after Al-Nassr's 3-0 Saudi Pro League win over Al-Diriyah on Friday, 9 October. Legit.ng reports Coman broke clear and chose to shoot rather than pass to Cristiano Ronaldo, who was nearby, reigniting debate over personal glory versus team goals.
Former Al-Nassr player Fahd Al-Hraifi, speaking on the programme "Dawrina Ghair", said he expected Coman not to pass and added: "if I had been in his place I would have passed it to Ronaldo." He suggested Coman is under pressure to make his name in the league and may have thought Ronaldo was offside.
Ronaldo opened the scoring in the match and, per Transfermarkt, sits on 980 official career goals. The article does not say whether Coman's shot scored or whether he or the club responded.
