Okafor Scores Winner as Leeds Defeat Tottenham 1-0

Leeds United secured a 1-0 victory over in-form Tottenham Hotspur in a Premier League clash at Elland Road, ending the visiting side's three-match winning streak. According to reports by Channels TV and Vanguard, substitute Noah Okafor struck late in the second half to seal all three points for the home side.

The encounter began with early tension when video assistant referees dismissed penalty claims against Mateus Fernandes for an alleged handball. Tottenham eventually settled into the contest as the first half progressed, though clear scoring opportunities proved scarce for both teams during the opening exchanges.

Controversy arose roughly ten minutes before the halftime interval when Leeds player Jayden Bogle caught Tottenham winger Mathys Tel on the ankle with his studs. Following a lengthy video review, match officials opted against issuing any disciplinary action to Bogle, but Tel was forced off with an injury shortly afterwards and replaced by Dominic Solanke.

Leeds stepped up their attacking intensity after the restart, creating multiple opportunities through Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Sean Longstaff. Tottenham goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky made a fine save to keep the scores level, but the hosts eventually broke the deadlock in the 79th minute when fellow substitute Harry Wilson set up Okafor to finish past the keeper.

Tottenham pressed for a late equalizer and nearly salvaged a point, but Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford made a vital save to keep out Jan Paul van Hecke's header. Channels TV noted that the result marked the first win in six matches for Leeds, lifting Daniel Farke's team up to eighth position in the Premier League table.
