Fani-Kayode Resumes Duty As Nigeria's Envoy To South Africa

Nigeria’s newly appointed High Commissioner to South Africa, Femi Fani-Kayode, has officially started his diplomatic duties. According to Vanguard, the former aviation minister confirmed the development through a post shared on his social media handle.

Fani-Kayode revealed that he delivered his credentials to Clayson Monyela, a top official at South Africa’s foreign affairs department, on Friday. He noted that his appointment took official effect on October 30, describing the step as crucial for his mission.

The envoy also held discussions with another key diplomat, Ambassador Seboga, as part of his early diplomatic duties. He added that he will soon present his main credentials directly to South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in a formal event.
