The Ogun State Police Commissioner, Bode Ojajuni, has stressed the importance of educating voters prior to the 2027 general polls. He made this statement at the police headquarters in Abeokuta during a visit by a civic organization, Daily Post reported.
During the visit, the delegation presented Ojajuni with a leadership award for his efforts in securing lives and promoting community policing. The commissioner praised the group's civic campaign, which encourages market women and youths to collect and safeguard their voting cards.
The leader of the initiative, Oladunni Sodipo, stated that his group remains committed to empowering families and promoting civic awareness. Ojajuni promised that the Ogun police command would support such programs to strengthen democracy before the next general elections.
