Abdulaziz Yari, the head of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC), has declared that President Bola Tinubu will secure re-election in 2027. He asserted that the same divine intervention responsible for Tinubu's 2023 victory would repeat itself in the next general election.
Daily Post reported that Yari shared these views while interacting with journalists in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. He was in the holy land alongside the president and other Nigerian pilgrims to perform Umrah, the lesser Hajj.
Yari explained that Tinubu’s trust in God, alongside his administration's accomplishments, would guarantee his success in the upcoming political contest. He stressed that a leader's devotion to praying for the nation remains essential.
The campaign chief's statements followed a media interaction on Friday in Saudi Arabia, where President Tinubu publicly stated that he relies on God for his second term in office.
Commending the president, Yari noted that interceding for the country and its citizens reflects genuine leadership. He maintained that leadership selection rests with God, expressing confidence that Tinubu’s reliance on God will yield victory again.
