Ex-APC Aspirant Yahaya Seriki Backs Tinubu For Second Term, Unveils N4bn Kwara Empowerment

A former All Progressives Congress governorship aspirant in Kwara State, Yahaya Seriki, has publicly declared support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027, according to Punch.

Speaking on Saturday at an empowerment event held in Ilorin, Seriki stated that the current federal administration has introduced policy directions that Nigeria has never experienced before. He expressed confidence that the ongoing government policies would ultimately create a better country.

During the event, named the Yahaya Seriki Empowerment & Enterprise Colloquium, the politician unveiled an empowerment package valued at more than N4 billion. The distributed items included N1 billion in cash alongside N3.2 billion worth of equipment, featuring over 150 vehicles and sewing machines meant to boost local businesses.

Seriki, who serves as the Chairman of Kursi Group and North-Central Coordinator of the City Boys Movement, said the gesture was aimed at supporting residents and giving back to society. He added that the initiative was also organized to demonstrate backing for President Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima.

Urging Kwara residents and younger Nigerians to support the administration, Seriki described Tinubu as a leader dedicated to changing the national narrative. He noted that guests across different political parties were invited to the gathering.
