2027 Election: Yari Expresses Confidence In Tinubu’s Re-Election Victory

Senator Abdulaziz Yari has expressed optimism that President Bola Tinubu will secure re-election during the January 2027 presidential poll. Yari, who serves as the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, based his confidence on the President's track record and upcoming campaign efforts, according to a statement released by his media office.

Speaking to journalists in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the former Zamfara State governor stated that the administration relies on faith and hard work to convince citizens. He noted that President Tinubu consistently prioritises prayers for the nation and believes that leadership authority ultimately rests with God, echoing the path to his 2023 victory.

Yari added that the campaign team intends to highlight the administration’s achievements to persuade voters nationwide ahead of the contest. He emphasized that structured campaign procedures and public engagements would clearly demonstrate the government's accomplishments to the electorate.

The remarks came during the President's spiritual journey to Saudi Arabia for the Umrah lesser pilgrimage. According to Punch, President Tinubu departed Abuja on Thursday afternoon aboard an Airbus A330-200 jet, following an announcement by his spokesperson Bayo Onanuga. Accompanying the Nigerian leader on the trip are National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Senator Yari, and BUA Group Chairman Abdulsamad Rabiu.
