According to Daily Post, Peter Obi, who is running for president under the Nigeria Democratic Congress banner, campaigned alongside party leader Seriake Dickson in Bayelsa State on Friday. The political event in Yenagoa featured a colourful boat regatta decorated with party flags.

Addressing the crowd at the waterfront, Obi stated that his party represents a fresh movement to save the country. He stressed that riverine communities like Bayelsa deserve targeted attention, noting that the campaign team wanted to engage residents directly within their environment.
