2027: Ex-Senator Gada Launches Sokoto East Campaign For PDP

Former lawmaker Abubakar Gada has officially launched his election campaign for the Sokoto East Senatorial District on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Speaking on Saturday at a campaign flag-off ceremony held in Gwadabawa town, the former senator called on electorate members to support the opposition party in its effort to return to power in 2027.

According to Punch, Gada emphasized that Sokoto East has historically been a stronghold for the PDP, referencing previous election performance records. He explained that the rally aimed to reawaken the determination of local supporters and reignite their commitment to taking back political control of the district.

Reflecting on his previous tenure representing the zone in the National Assembly, Gada expressed pride in his past legislative achievements, describing them as superior to more recent efforts by others. He also pointed out pressing issues such as insecurity and widespread poverty in the area, calling for targeted policy measures and urgent assistance from the Federal Government to alleviate the situation.

The PDP candidate warned citizens about the significance of their voting choices, urging them not to misuse their political power. He cautioned that bad decisions at the ballot box would jeopardize their future, whereas choosing credible candidates who understand public suffering would ensure better governance.

Also addressing the gathering, the PDP National Organising Secretary and state party leader, Umar Bature, endorsed Gada as a dependable aspirant with a history of delivering on campaign pledges. Bature revealed that the party is working to reclaim the Sokoto State Government House as well as win all three senatorial seats across the state in the upcoming general elections.
