A coalition known as the Northern Youth Frontiers claims that the large turnout at a recent Kaduna political event proves the region strongly backs President Bola Tinubu for a second term in 2027, according to Punch. Saminu Turaki, the group's North-West coordinator, stated this in a Sunday release.
The group commended Senator Abdulaziz Yari, who heads the Presidential Campaign Council, for his grassroots mobilization efforts. Turaki also appreciated community and traditional leaders for attending the event, noting that their presence displayed strong unity and solidarity with the Nigerian leader.
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the coalition appealed to political actors to promote peace and avoid inflammatory remarks linked to religion or ethnicity. Turaki urged stakeholders to focus on development plans, reiterating the coalition's commitment to supporting Tinubu’s re-election bid based on his economic policies.
