Vice President Kashim Shettima met with security workers he identified as his Fullo cousins during a visit to Maiduguri, Borno State. According to Punch, Shettima shared on his Facebook page that he had missed their humor, warmth, and lighthearted interactions at the Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital.
The reunion occurred while the Vice President was in the state to attend project inaugurations. The events included launching a 400-bed facility at the state-owned Kashim Ibrahim University Teaching Hospital, alongside the Yerwa Practice Mega School within the capital city of Maiduguri.
Shettima commended the Borno State Government for executing the initiatives, stating they will serve upcoming generations. He added that the modern hospital and newly built schools clearly demonstrate the state is recovering after enduring over ten years of insurgency challenges.
