2027: Obi-Kwankwaso Movement Knocks NDC Over Campaign Council List
The Obi-Kwankwaso Movement has criticised the Nigeria Democratic Congress over its newly formed campaign council list ahead of the 2027 polls.

Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has advocated for a tripartite agreement among the government, press, and public to strengthen democracy. Speaking in Abuja during an annual lecture honoring late media titan Raymond Dokpesi, the governor urged state authorities to refrain from treating news organizations as adversaries, according to Vanguard.
Under the proposed arrangement, Uzodimma explained that public officials must safeguard press freedom while media managers prioritize professional ethics above commercial gains. Additionally, he urged members of the public to critically evaluate news items, avoid ethnic division, and back independent reporting to ensure transparent resource management.
To preserve the legacy of the DAAR Communications founder, the governor suggested founding a National Media Centre dedicated to development journalism research. Meanwhile, Raymond Dokpesi Jnr announced plans for a civic technology initiative set for launch in 2026 to empower upcoming content creators.
