2027 Election: Barau Tips Tinubu for Victory, Calls for APC Unity in Kano
Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau says President Bola Tinubu is favored to win the 2027 presidential election, citing political assessments and party unity in Kano.

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has officially launched her re-election campaign across Kogi Central ahead of the senatorial election scheduled for February 6, 2027. According to Punch, the lawmaker began her constituency tour on Sunday, engaging with local residents and political allies.
The campaign activities kicked off with roadside receptions across several communities, including Okene, before concluding with a large gathering at her private residence situated in Obeiba, Ihima, within the Okehi Local Government Area. A statement released in Abuja by her media aide, Mike Idoko, confirmed the commencement of the political drive.
Akpoti-Uduaghan was accompanied on the tour by her husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan, alongside key political associates and Peoples Democratic Party candidates contesting for various National Assembly and Kogi State House of Assembly seats within the district.
Speaking during the events, the lawmaker emphasized that her connection with the people of Kogi Central extends beyond political contests. She reaffirmed her dedication to delivering quality legislative advocacy, enhancing infrastructure, and securing economic opportunities for her constituents, with a particular focus on addressing development challenges in the Ajaokuta area.
She further stated that meaningful governance requires continuous engagement with constituents rather than periodic visits during election periods. The event brought together PDP flagbearers representing Adavi/Okehi, Ajaokuta, and Okene/Ogori-Magongo federal constituencies, as well as state assembly candidates, aimed at reinforcing party unity across the five local government areas of the senatorial district.
