Catholic Bishops Launch Nationwide Prayer & Fasting for Credible 2027 Elections
The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) has declared a nationwide programme of prayer and fasting aimed at promoting free, fair, credible and peaceful elections in 2027.
The initiative is themed “Let Justice and Peace Flow,” drawn from Amos 5:24. It was announced in a statement by the conference president, Archbishop Matthew Ndagoso, and secretary, Bishop Peter Odetoyinbo.
The call comes as political parties intensify campaigns and concerns grow over the integrity of the electoral process.
