Opposition Single Candidate Plan Collapses as Kwankwaso Refuses to Step Down
Hopes of a single opposition presidential candidate for 2027 suffered a major setback after Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) vice-presidential candidate Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso declared that the party would not withdraw its candidature in favour of the ADC or Atiku Abubakar.
“We will not withdraw our candidature for the ADC or any other party,” he said, insisting the NDC remains in the race.
