Security Operatives Arrest Five Suspected Abductors of 20 NYSC Members
Operatives of the DSS, the military and the police have arrested five suspected members of the gang allegedly responsible for the abduction of 20 prospective NYSC members in Imo State on Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day.
The arrests were made in Port Harcourt and Aba South between 10 and 14 October. Five other suspects escaped with gunshot injuries during the 7 October rescue operation and remain at large.
Security sources say the operation demonstrates ongoing efforts to dismantle kidnapping networks targeting young Nigerians.
