MTN Group Foundation and the Gates Foundation have launched a $25 million, four-year AI-enabled maternal health platform in Nigeria. The initiative aims to reach 500,000 women, equip 5,000 frontline health workers, and support 500 facilities by 2030.
Nigeria accounts for nearly 30% of global maternal deaths. The platform builds on the government’s Maternal and Neonatal Mortality Reduction Innovation Initiative.
